Soft Drinks Contaminated By Benzene

Burgers have been linked to weight gain, increased cholesterol and high blood pressure.

More research findings make these diet soft drinks safe.

Bacon cheeseburgers and fries have been linked to weight gain, increased cholesterol and high blood pressure. But what if further research results make these foods safe?

One way or another, much of the American diet is unhealthy and even harmful. Careful meal planning is increasingly necessary and desirable. First, many foods are high in fat and sugar. The fact that these foods monopolize the fast food options needed in a fast-changing society exacerbates this problem. Second, modern food processing methods extract important nutrients from once healthy foods.

Third, with pesticide residues and artificial flavors and colors, chemicals have proven to be another ingredient in the recipe. Unfortunately, the danger does not end here. Other, even more troubling food ingredients are creeping into food every day. As a large percentage of America remains uninformed, food itself has stolen control over people's own body’s soft drinks. Poison can also be included in the menu... With lively bubbles, sparkling texture, thin foam and strong reinforcement, soft drinks seem like a household necessity for most of society.

Dinner, lunch, even breakfast, America welcomes soda, fruit juice and flavored water into its glasses wholeheartedly. However, these delicious drinks do not come cheap. It has been shown that weight gain due to constant consumption of high-calorie beverages is very soft drinks   common and these beverages have contributed significantly to the country's ever-increasing obesity rates. But scientists have discovered something even more disturbing. Along with high sugar content, artificial flavors and calcium-damaging fizz, some soft drinks contain the poisonous substance benzene – sometimes at alarming levels. Could a bottle of good old soda be nothing more than a powerful industrial plant?

How Did Benzene Get in a Mere Soda Can?

Cars emit gasoline in smoke. Above gas stations, benzene remains invisible in a thick, unstoppable haze. Factories release benzene in the production of some plastics, chemicals, dyes and detergents. A pollutant and poison, no wonder benzene causes cancer. The air in such work facilities is reported as polluted by employees. With these properties, benzene is certainly not a substance you would expect to find in a grocery store.

So, how did it get there? Many soft drinks contain benzoate salts and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Both of these substances are a natural part of fruit-based drinks. A high percentage of other sodas use them as preservatives or as nutritional additives. However, when benzoate salts and vitamin C come into contact with high levels of light and/or heat, a chemical reaction is likely to occur. The product of this process is benzene.

Is Benzene Contamination Preventable?

There is no way to ensure that soft drinks remain benzene-free. But what if someone only drinks what they buy? What if people only store drinks in cool and shady places? It does not matter. No one can be certain of the conditions of each warehouse or each shipment transported. Once formed, benzene remains permanent. Even the most perfect treatment and care cannot erase the existing damage. While the presence of any amount of benzene is confusing, soft drinks the FDA has determined that levels should not exceed 5 ppb to pose a threat. However, thousands of bottles and cans still need to be tested.

No one can be sure of the history of their individual drink before you buy it. Scientists can't be sure how benzene levels affect a particular person. What if some people are more sensitive than others? Will tomorrow's research find that low levels of benzene are actually harmful? Under the circumstances, facts change easily and "certainties" leave questions unanswered. In the 1990s, soft drink companies changed production methods in hopes of avoiding the development of benzene.

However, from 2005 to 2006, the FDA found benzene levels above 5 ppb in some products. Moreover, the experiment turned out to be insufficient. The study covers only a small percentage of the country and does not include all products or brands. What if the benzene levels are really too high? Could these findings be just a glimmer of a terrifying truth?

Are there any preventive strategies?

Not only are they harmful to health, some foods may contain toxic elements. People can maintain a healthy diet with foods low in fat, sugar and salt and high in fiber. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats are some good examples. Foods without artificial sugar, dyes and preservatives reduce the possibility of unwanted chemicals.

However, although it has been shown that healthy and natural foods are the best, people do not always have the choice. The FDA recently confirmed that benzene is still found in some soft drinks. Can harmful substances contaminate other foods? How can one protect oneself from unknown threats? Doctors and trained nutritionists can not only point to the safest foods, but they can also provide a personalized supplement program. Vitamins and herbs that have the ability to fill in missing nutritional gaps also have the ability to protect the body from many environmental stresses and nutritional impurities.

Strengthening the immune system and cleansing the liver are two important tactics. However, even though vitamins may be natural, they are still powerful. Incorrect use of certain vitamins can weaken the immune system and damage the liver. But with the right guidance from a trained professional, people can heal dietary deficiencies, soft drinks strengthen the body against inevitable damage, and help build a healthier life than is possible. A trained expert is also recommended to recommend the best brands. Labels are not always reliable. Some vitamin manufacturers overfill their products in buffers and others use fewer fillers. However, with proper education, consumers can easily find cheap high-quality discount vitamins from excellent retailers. People can easily eliminate potential benzene levels by avoiding soft drinks.

Unfortunately, protecting the body from other unknown chemical toxins is not so easy. Of course, not everything in food is always edible. However, an individual diet plan under the guidance of a trained professional can easily ensure health and prevent problems. Good and natural foods and vitamin discounts prepare well for the unknown.
